For Health and Wellness

Track patient acquisition cost against revenue from every visit, with spend controls and funding built for ads.

Connects to Meta Google Ads TikTok Pipedrive Xero QuickBooks

For dental, clinics, med spas and physio.

Flyweel is a finance platform that tracks each ad charge to the new patient and the revenue from their visits.

Built for

  • Dental
  • Medical clinics
  • Med spas
  • Physio
  • Allied health
  • Chiropractic

Patient revenue comes in over many visits.

The timing gap for a health practice is the time between paying for a new patient and collecting from their visits.

Example: a dental practice

  • Ad spend: $16,000 for 80 new patients, or $200 each
  • First visit: About $250 for a checkup and clean
  • Year one: About $1,200 per patient, from crowns, aligners and hygiene visits

Judged on the year, a campaign returns six times its ad cost.

What is a good patient acquisition cost for a dental practice?

A good patient acquisition cost is one that the patient's first year of visits pays back several times over. Start from patient value. If a new patient brings in $1,200 in year one and you want ads under 20% of that, your ceiling is $240 per new patient. Measure it on patients seen, not appointments booked.

How do med spas measure ROI beyond cost per lead?

Med spas should measure revenue from treated clients, not leads or consults. Many leads never book, and many consults never buy. Track cost per treated client, then add the repeat treatments that client buys over the next year. A campaign with pricey leads can still come out ahead if its clients come back for a series.

How do I calculate patient lifetime value?

Patient lifetime value is the revenue a patient brings in over the time they stay with your practice. Take the new patients from one month, add up what they paid over the next 12 months, and divide by the number of patients. Do this by campaign, because some campaigns bring patients who return and some do not.

Why can't Meta optimize my clinic's ads for bookings anymore?

Meta restricts the data advertisers in health and wellness can send back, which cuts off many lower-funnel signals like bookings. The ads still run, but Meta sees less of what happens after the click. Your booking records, not Meta reports, now have to show which campaigns bring in patients.

Can I track cost per treated patient by campaign?

Yes. Connect Meta, Google Ads or TikTok and Pipedrive, and set up deal stages for booked, seen and treated. Flyweel then shows cost per treated patient for each campaign. HubSpot and Salesforce connections are planned. If bookings live in practice software, export a CSV with the booking source, visit dates and revenue instead.

Does Flyweel need patient health records?

No. Flyweel works from ad spend, deal stages and revenue figures. It has no use for diagnoses, clinical notes or health records. Keep that detail out of any CRM fields you sync and any CSV you upload. A booking date, a source and a dollar value are all the reports need.

Is Flyweel free for clinics?

Yes, Flyweel is free to start and no credit card is required. You get AdGrid, the AI agent and reconciliation on the Starter plan. Practices that spend $25k a month on Flyweel cards pay nothing for the platform, however many ad accounts they connect.
