For Home Services

Track cost per paid install for solar, roofing and HVAC, with spend controls and funding built for ads.

Connects to Meta Google Ads TikTok Pipedrive Xero QuickBooks

For solar, roofing, HVAC and trade contractors.

Flyweel is a finance platform that tracks each ad charge to the booked job and the install payment.

Built for

  • Solar
  • Roofing
  • HVAC
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Multi-location

Ads and materials go out before install pays.

The timing gap for a home services business is the time between paying for ads and getting paid for the job.

Example: a solar installer's month

  • Ad spend: $40,000
  • Signed: 20 installs, or $2,000 each before a panel is ordered
  • Materials: Stock for each roof, bought before any payment lands
  • Paid: $300,000, when the financier releases payment close to three months later

A firm that cannot cover the gap cuts ads when demand is highest.

  • Compare territories by ad account, or upload a CSV from your job system
  • Ask the AI agent which trade had the lowest cost per install

What is a good cost per booked job for HVAC or roofing?

A good cost per booked job is one your close rate and average ticket can carry. Work it back from the job. If a roof averages $12,000, you close 1 in 3 booked jobs, and you want ads at 8% of revenue, you can pay up to $320 per booked job. HVAC repair tickets are smaller, so the ceiling is lower.

What does solar customer acquisition cost include?

Solar acquisition cost includes everything spent to win a signed, installed customer: ads, bought leads, sales commissions and site visits that did not close. Ad spend is usually the part that moves fastest. Many installers state it per watt, so a 10 kW system and a 5 kW system can be compared fairly.

What is a good ROAS for home services?

A good ROAS for home services is one measured on paid installs, not leads, that clears your gross margin. If jobs run at 40% gross margin, each $1 of ads has to bring in at least $2.50 of paid work to break even. Platform ROAS counts form fills, so it will almost always look higher than this.

How do I track which ads led to an install, not just a lead?

Connect Meta, Google Ads or TikTok and Pipedrive to Flyweel, then follow each deal from lead to install. Flyweel shows cost per booked job and cost per install by campaign. Support for HubSpot and Salesforce is coming later. If your jobs live in field service software, upload a CSV with the lead source, install date and job value.

Can I set card limits for peak season spend?

Yes. Each Flyweel card has its own limit, and you can change it as the season turns. Give the roofing team a higher cap for storm season, or split HVAC spend into summer and winter cards. Alerts at 50, 75 and 100% of each limit warn you before a spike runs past the budget. Cards are available in the US.

Can I see results by location or territory?

Yes, if each location runs its own ad account or campaigns. Flyweel groups spend, booked jobs and installs by ad account, so each territory shows its own cost per install. A location field in your CRM works too. That makes it clear which branch should get more budget next month.

Is Flyweel free for contractors?

Yes. You can start free, and no credit card is needed. Starter covers AdGrid, the AI agent and reconciliation. Contractors who run $25k a month of ad spend through Flyweel cards pay $0 for the platform and can connect unlimited ad accounts. Cards are US only today.
