**The best business cards for ad spend in 2026 start with Flyweel[1](#home-fn-1) for US companies.** It is the only card here that tracks each ad charge to the CRM deal and the cash it produced, and the platform that does it is free once you put $25k a month on the cards. Keep a points card like Amex Business Gold or Chase Ink Business Preferred for everything else.

If you already carry an Amex or Chase card for its points, keep it. For ad spend, the question is different: which card tells you what each ad dollar made? Flyweel ranks first because it answers that question. Put ads on the card that knows what your ads made. There is no fee to issue, load or spend[2](#home-fn-2), and the other six cards below each win on something real.

## How we compared the cards[Link to this section](#how-we-compared-the-cards)

We weighed each card on what matters for ad spend, in this order. Our own card is on this list, so we skipped scores out of 10 and show our working instead. Every card faces the same five tests and gets a one-line verdict.

1. **The loop.** Can you see what each ad dollar made, from the campaign to the CRM deal to the cash?

2. **Controls.** Can you cap a single card, lock it to ad spend, and get alerts before a budget runs out?

3. **Limits and access.** How is the limit set, and does it need a personal guarantee?

4. **True cost.** Annual fees and plan prices, and what the card spend gives back.

5. **Rewards.** Earn rates and caps on ad categories.

Rewards sit last only because every points card below already earns them well. The first four are where cards for ad spend differ most.

## Why does ad spend need a different kind of card?[Link to this section](#why-does-ad-spend-need-a-different-kind-of-card)

Because ad charges do not move like other business costs. A new ad account tests a card with small charges first. Two dollars, then five, then ten. Then a real bill lands. Amex read that pattern as fraud on one of our accounts and locked the card. The ads stopped. Meta took about five days to relearn what it had lost, and two to three weeks of expected revenue moved with it. The issuer did nothing wrong. The card was just not built for how ad spend moves.

Issuers watch ad charges closely, and some have cut advertiser limits this year. More on that in [Amex cuts advertiser card limits](/blog/amex-cuts-advertiser-card-limits). The bigger gap is not the decline. It is what happens between the charge and the cash:

> You pay for ads today. You get paid weeks later. In between, you fly blind. We are not a dashboard on top of your bank. The cards, the limits, the ledger and the funding all run on one live record of spend and returns. Nothing gets stitched together at month end. And growth never waits on cash.

## The 7 best business cards for ad spend in 2026[Link to this section](#the-7-best-business-cards-for-ad-spend-in-2026)

### 1. Flyweel: the ad card that closes the loop from spend to revenue[Link to this section](#1-flyweel-the-ad-card-that-closes-the-loop-from-spend-to-revenue)

**Best for US companies that want every ad dollar tracked to the deal and the cash it produced.** Think a roofing firm running Google search, a mortgage broker on Meta, or a sales-led SaaS team paying for LinkedIn and search at once.

![Flyweel Visa Corporate card in front of the AdGrid campaign table showing spend, clicks and conversions across Meta and Google](/_vercel/image?url=_astro%2Fbest-business-cards-ad-spend-flyweel-card.HYHW_Ty5.webp&w=1920&q=100&dpl=dpl_5i1FpZwsQUDkMfbDxfZVke6vzUG3)

Most cards stop at the swipe. Flyweel keeps going. Each virtual card is tied to an ad account, so every charge sits next to the campaign that made it, the deal it became in your CRM, and the cash that landed. It connects to Meta, [Google Ads](/integrations/google-ads), TikTok, Pipedrive, and Xero or QuickBooks. Ask the [AI agent](/ai-agents) which campaigns are paying back, and it answers from that one live record. It returns charts and recommendations. You make the changes in the ad platforms.

[Flyweel Cards](/debit-cards) are locked to advertising and marketing. Each card has its own cap, with alerts at 50, 75 and 100%. Give each platform or ad account its own card. If one card is compromised, one campaign stops, not five.

[Flyweel Capital](/performance-capital) is for the weeks when the ads are working but the cash is not in yet. Limits follow performance, not personal credit. There are no credit checks and no personal guarantees, and terms are built around your sales cycle. It is a pay-in-full charge card, and the statement balance is debited monthly. That lets a solar installer fund this month’s ads while last month’s leads are still closing.

**Pros**

- Platform free at $25k a month on cards: AdGrid, the agent and reconciliation, with unlimited ad accounts

- Read-only AI agent for campaign analysis and guidance

- A compromised card stops one campaign, not five

- Limits follow performance, with no personal guarantee

**Cons**

- Cards and capital are US only today. The reporting platform and the agent work globally.

- No points program. The return is the platform and the loop, so keep a points card for non-ad spend.

**Pricing.** Put $25k a month on cards and the platform is $0, with unlimited ad accounts. Below that, Starter is free (AdGrid, the agent and reconciliation) and Growth is $99 a month. Larger teams on Scale pay $0 from $100k a month on cards. Early adopters get their first 3 months at $0 with no minimum spend. Full detail is on [pricing](/pricing).

**Verdict:** the only card here that shows what your ads made, with the software paid for by the spend.

### 2. Amex Business Gold: best for firms whose top two categories include US ads[Link to this section](#2-amex-business-gold-best-for-firms-whose-top-two-categories-include-us-ads)

**Best for firms where US advertising is one of the two biggest monthly costs.** It earns 4 Membership Rewards points per dollar on the two categories where you spend most each billing cycle, out of six. US purchases from media providers for advertising in select media, such as online, TV and radio, are one of those six. The 4x rate covers the first $150,000 in combined purchases each calendar year, then earns 1x [[1]](#cite-1).

The top two categories can shift month to month. A law firm with steady search spend and a big software renewal may see ads drop out of the top two for that cycle. Check how your ad charges are coded on each statement.

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** keep it for software, travel and the rest of the business. Pair it with a Flyweel card for the campaigns you want tracked to revenue.

**Annual fee:** $375.

**Verdict:** a strong earner on US ads, as long as ads stay in your top two.

### 3. Chase Ink Business Preferred: best for ads mixed with travel and phone bills[Link to this section](#3-chase-ink-business-preferred-best-for-ads-mixed-with-travel-and-phone-bills)

**Best for businesses whose ad spend sits alongside travel, shipping and phone costs.** It earns 3 points per dollar on the first $150,000 in combined purchases each account anniversary year across four categories. Those are advertising with social media sites and search engines, shipping, travel, and internet, cable and phone services. After the cap, it earns 1x [[2]](#cite-2).

The cap is shared across all four categories. A dental group spending $40,000 a month on search reaches it in under four months. Track the running total so you know when the 3x rate ends.

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** keep it for travel and phone bills, and the shared 3x cap lasts longer. Put search and social budgets on Flyweel cards so each charge ties back to booked patients.

**Annual fee:** $95.

**Verdict:** the best value for mixed marketing costs, with a low fee.

### 4. Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business: best for large search and social budgets[Link to this section](#4-chase-sapphire-reserve-for-business-best-for-large-search-and-social-budgets)

**Best for companies with large social and search budgets that also value premium travel perks.** It earns 3 points per dollar on social media and search engine advertising [[3]](#cite-3). From 15 November 2026, that 3x rate applies to the first $1 million spent each account anniversary year, then drops to 1x [[3]](#cite-3) [[4]](#cite-4).

A $1 million cap is far higher than the $150,000 caps above. For most businesses it will not bind. For a lead seller spending more than about $83,000 a month on search and social, it will.

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** keep it for travel and the perks that come with it. Run the ad accounts you want tracked from click to cash on Flyweel.

**Annual fee:** $795.

**Verdict:** the highest ad category cap on the list, at the highest fee.

### 5. Capital One Spark Cash Plus: best for one flat rate on everything[Link to this section](#5-capital-one-spark-cash-plus-best-for-one-flat-rate-on-everything)

**Best for owners who want the same cash back rate on every purchase, with nothing to track.** It earns unlimited 2% cash back on every purchase, with no category limits. The $150 annual fee is refunded each year you spend at least $150,000 in net purchases. There is no preset spending limit. Buying power adjusts with your spending and payment behaviour [[5]](#cite-5).

For an HVAC company spending $60,000 a month across ads, parts and fuel, 2% on everything adds up with no caps to plan around.

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** keep it for parts, fuel and the rest of the operating budget. Pair it with Flyweel cards on each ad account to see which campaigns book jobs.

**Annual fee:** $150, refunded at $150,000 a year in net purchases.

**Verdict:** the simplest uncapped earn on the list.

### 6. Brex: best for funded startups running company-wide spend[Link to this section](#6-brex-best-for-funded-startups-running-company-wide-spend)

**Best for venture-funded startups that want one system for company cards, policies and expenses.** Capital One completed its acquisition of Brex on 7 April 2026 [[6]](#cite-6). Brex still sells its own plans. Essentials is $0 per user a month. Premium is $12 per user a month and adds advanced expense policies, approval chains and multi-entity support. Enterprise is custom [[7]](#cite-7).

Brex is built for the whole company’s spend: software, travel, team cards and approvals.

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** keep Brex as the company card and expense system. Run ad accounts on Flyweel so ad spend is tracked to pipeline and cash.

**Plan:** Essentials $0; Premium $12 per user a month; Enterprise custom.

**Verdict:** the broadest company-wide spend platform here.

### 7. Slash: best for high-spend advertisers paying Meta invoices[Link to this section](#7-slash-best-for-high-spend-advertisers-paying-meta-invoices)

**Best for advertisers whose Meta accounts have moved to monthly invoicing.** From 1 April 2026, Meta moved many high-spend ad accounts off card payments and onto monthly invoicing or direct debit [[8]](#cite-8) [[9]](#cite-9). Slash responded with 1% cashback on eligible Meta invoice payments made by bank transfer through a Slash account [[10]](#cite-10). Its plans run from a free tier to Pro at $25 a month, both with unlimited virtual cards [[11]](#cite-11).

**Where it fits next to Flyweel:** use Slash for Meta invoices paid by bank transfer. Use Flyweel cards for Google, TikTok and any account still billed by card, with each charge tied back to revenue.

**Plan:** Free; Pro $25 a month.

**Verdict:** the one pick here that pays back on Meta invoices.

## What to measure once you pick a card[Link to this section](#what-to-measure-once-you-pick-a-card)

Whichever card you pick, and whatever it earns, track three numbers per campaign:

- **Cost per closed deal.** Not cost per lead. A cheap lead that never closes is not cheap.

- **Cash collected per ad dollar.** Revenue in the bank, not revenue marked “won” in the CRM.

- **Payback time.** How many weeks until a campaign’s spend comes back as cash.

Platform ROAS stops at the lead. These three numbers follow the dollar to the bank. They are what the loop from ad to CRM to bank is for. For the funding side of the same question, read [how to fund the CAC payback gap](/blog/cac-payback-gap-how-to-fund-ad-spend) and our guide to [virtual cards for ad spend](/blog/ad-spend-financing-virtual-cards).

## Which card should you pick?[Link to this section](#which-card-should-you-pick)

Pick by the job you need the card to do:

- **Track ads to revenue, with funding on terms built around your sales cycle and the platform free at $25k a month:** Flyweel.

- **Earn points on US ads and other top costs:** Amex Business Gold.

- **Earn on ads, travel and phone for a low fee:** Chase Ink Business Preferred.

- **Earn on very large search and social budgets:** Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business.

- **Flat cash back on everything:** Capital One Spark Cash Plus.

- **Company-wide spend for a funded startup:** Brex.

- **Cashback on Meta invoices paid by bank transfer:** Slash.

For most [service businesses](/for/service-businesses), the answer is two cards. Keep the points card. Give your ads a card that shows what they made.

### Frequently Asked Questions

### What is the best business card for ad spend in 2026?

For US companies, Flyweel. It is the only card in this comparison that tracks each ad charge to the campaign, the CRM deal and the cash that landed, and the platform is free at $25k a month on cards. For points on ads, Amex Business Gold and Chase Ink Business Preferred are strong picks to keep alongside it.

### Can I keep my points card and use Flyweel for ads?

Yes, and most teams should. Keep your Amex or Chase card for travel, software and everything else it rewards. Put ad spend on Flyweel cards, one per ad account or platform, so each charge sits next to the revenue it produced.

### Which ad spend cards have no personal guarantee?

Flyweel Capital has no credit checks and no personal guarantees. Limits follow business and revenue performance. For other cards on this list, check the issuer's current terms for your company before you apply, because personal guarantee rules vary by product and applicant.

### Can you pay Meta ads by card above $50k a month?

Often not. From 1 April 2026, Meta moved many high-spend ad accounts, widely reported at about $50,000 a month, to monthly invoicing or direct debit. Meta reviews accounts one by one and has not published an exact threshold. Accounts that did not get a notice can still pay by card.

### Which business card earns the most points on ad spend?

Amex Business Gold earns 4x on its top two of six categories, up to $150,000 a calendar year. Chase Ink Business Preferred earns 3x on social and search ads, shared with travel, shipping and phone, up to $150,000 an anniversary year. Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business earns 3x on social and search ads, capped at $1 million a year from 15 November 2026.

### Is there a cap on Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business advertising points?

Yes, from 15 November 2026. The card earns 3 points per dollar on the first $1 million of social media and search engine advertising each account anniversary year, then 1 point per dollar.

### How does Flyweel set card limits?

In capital mode, limits follow business and revenue performance, not personal credit. Applying takes about five minutes, with no credit checks and no personal guarantees. Terms are built around your sales cycle, so you can fund this month's ads while last month's leads are still closing.

### What does Flyweel cost?

Put $25k a month on Flyweel cards and the platform is $0, with unlimited ad accounts. Below that, Starter is free and includes AdGrid, the AI agent and reconciliation, and Growth is $99 a month. Larger teams on Scale pay $0 from $100k a month on cards. Early adopters get their first 3 months at $0 with no minimum spend.

### Who owns Brex now?

Capital One. It completed its acquisition of Brex on 7 April 2026. Brex still sells its own plans, with Essentials at $0 per user a month and Premium at $12 per user a month.

### What should I measure to know if ad spend is working?

Measure cost per closed deal, cash collected per ad dollar, and how many weeks it takes a campaign to pay back. Platform ROAS stops at the lead. These three numbers follow the dollar to the bank, which is the question every budget decision depends on.
