Set Up Cards

A workspace owner or admin sets up Cards from the Flyweel app. The application runs inside Flyweel, with identity verification in a CapitalOS-hosted form. Once the account is approved, you issue your first card and begin reviewing activity.

Before you startLink to this section

You need:

  • A Flyweel workspace.
  • Owner or admin access.
  • A US company for the current Cards launch.
  • A verified company email on your account. Flyweel asks you to verify one if it is missing.
  • Your legal business name, business structure, and website.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or a particular limit. The “you could access up to” figure on the first screen is an estimate based on your ad spend, not an offer or a limit.

Choose debit or capital modeLink to this section

US companies choose one mode for their card account during setup:

  • Debit mode: You fund your own limit with a deposit. Your limit is what you put in, with no underwriting.
  • Capital mode: Card spending uses a pay in full charge card. Your limit is set by underwriting after the account is approved.2

The mode is locked once your account is created. To change it later, contact Flyweel.

Two ways to startLink to this section

  • Open Cards in the Flyweel app.
  • During signup, US companies see an optional Card setup step. It runs the same screens. You can skip it and finish later from Cards.

Set up your card accountLink to this section

  1. Open Cards

Sign in to Flyweel and open Cards. Select Get started, or Resume application if you started earlier.

  2. Business details

Enter your first and last name, legal business name, business structure, website, and country. Sole proprietors are not asked for a legal business name. The country is locked if your workspace already set it in Company details. Select Continue.

If your company is outside the United States, the button becomes Notify me and setup ends here.

  3. Card account type

Choose Credit line for capital mode or Deposit-funded for debit mode, then select Continue. This creates your card account and locks the choice.

  4. Identity verification

Complete the CapitalOS-hosted form. When it closes, Flyweel shows the outcome:

    • Approved: continue to issue a card.
    • In review: most applications are decided the same day, and typically within two business days. Flyweel emails you with the answer.
    • Needs more information: check your email for what is missing, then select Resume application in Cards.
    • Declined: check your email. Flyweel cannot overturn the decision.
  5. Issue card

Complete the hosted card form. Leave the budget empty and the card can spend up to your account limit, shared with your other cards. You can set a budget any time after the card is issued.

  6. Card ready

Select View Capital. Your new card appears under Card management with its status and last four digits.

In capital mode, your limit may still be pending after approval. It appears on the Cards page as soon as underwriting sets it. In debit mode, add funds to start spending.
