Most Flyweel-in-ChatGPT problems come down to four things: the app is inactive, the OAuth authorisation expired, no ad accounts are selected, or the data has not been synced yet. Each fix below takes under a minute.
Flyweel does not appear in the tool menuLink to this section
The app is saved but inactive.
Fix: Go to Settings → Apps & Connectors and toggle Flyweel off and back on. If Flyweel is not listed at all, add it again from the app directory.
The app cannot be added at allLink to this section
ChatGPT apps require a paid plan.
Fix: Upgrade to Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, or Edu. On Business, Enterprise, and Edu workspaces an admin may need to allow the app first.
”Authentication error” or a 401Link to this section
Your OAuth authorisation expired or was revoked.
Fix: In Settings → Apps & Connectors, remove the Flyweel app, add it again from the directory, then sign in and approve access. There is no token to edit by hand.
”No accounts found”Link to this section
You have connected an ad platform but not selected any accounts to sync, or no platform is connected yet.
Fix: Ask Which ad accounts do I have available in Flyweel?, then Select the <account name> account for syncing. If nothing is connected, ask Connect my Google Ads account and follow the link. You can also do both at app.flyweel.co under Settings → Connections.
Results are empty for a date rangeLink to this section
That period has not been synced.
Fix: Ask Start a <platform> sync, wait for it to finish, then re-ask your question. Check progress with How's my sync going?.
The sync did not runLink to this section
Two guards can skip a sync, and both are working as intended.
Fix: If Flyweel reports the data is already fresh, no pull is needed. Ask your question directly. If you have started a sync for that platform in the last five minutes, wait for the rate limit window to pass and ask for sync status instead of starting another.
Flyweel refuses a duplicate sync while one is already running for the same platform. That is deliberate. Asking twice does not make it faster.
Numbers do not match the ad platform UILink to this section
Flyweel reports on the accounts you selected, over the date range you asked for, in the account’s currency, using its unified model across platforms.
Fix: Check three things: which accounts are selected, the exact date range, and whether attribution windows differ from the platform’s default view. Ask Which accounts are selected for syncing? to confirm the first.
ChatGPT tried to change a campaignLink to this section
It cannot.
Fix: Nothing to fix. The connection is read-only against every ad platform. Make campaign changes in Flyweel or in the ad platform directly.
